The area which has become known as Struie and Pathstruie are places of great antiquity which reflect the sweeping changes that affected all highland agricultural communities.This is the first time that a comprehensive account of such an area has been made with reference to the whole community. The lands have changed little and the old settlements remained as ruins for hundreds of years leaving a detailed record up to the present day . It is easy to be transported back to an age when such communities formed the backbone of Scotland
